About ADNEP
The Association of Diabetes Nurse Educators of the Philippines, Inc (ADNEP) is a duly recognized specialty organization of the Philippine Nurses Association. We are committed to our duties and responsibilities and we are highly motivated in organizing ourselves into a strong and respectable association. We promote and maintain the standards of professional nursing by disseminating vital and accurate knowledge on diabetes care and developing skills in the care of diabetic clients. We contribute to the advancement of educational programs and researches on diabetes and safeguard the interest and welfare of our members.
The Association is a non-profit, professional and socio-civic organization whose purpose is to provide quality diabetes care through education, training and research by conducting regular Post Graduate Training on Diabetes Education for Nurses, Nursing Updates on Diabetes and Its Management, and Workshops for patients on Diabetes Self Management.
How to become a member
Qualifications of each individual member
1. Must be a registered nurse of the Philippines
2. Must have undergone training with ADNEP, or its equivalent as determined by the Board of Directors
3. Must be a member of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA)
Qualification of each member upon renewal of membership
1. Must have at least 12 CPE units of updates on diabetes care or nursing seminars sponsored by ADNEP or its equivalent as determined by the Board of Directors.
Types of Membership
1. Regular member. Any registered nurse who has completed all levels of training with ADNEP may apply for regular membership.
2. Associate Member. Any registered nurse who has completed at least one (1) level of training with ADNEP.
3. Honorary member. Subject to approval of the Board pf Directors, any individual may be voted upon to an honorary member provided that such individual has rendered a distinguished service to the Association in the attainment of its goal.
