DIABETES EDUCATION TRAINING FOR NURSES, NUTRITIONIST-DIETITIANS, AND OTHER HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The continuous development and increasing incidence of Diabetes Mellitus brought with it the need to disseminate adequate information, provide quality health care to clients with Diabetes Mellitus and their families and to do collaborative activities with members of the health team and other agencies/institutions so that holistic and comprehensive care is provided. It is envisioned that the client with Diabetes Mellitus will participate and eventually make appropriate decisions regarding the management of his condition and ultimately improve his well being.
This program aims to strengthen the competencies of the nurses, nutritionist-dietitians, and other health professionals to provide appropriate care to clients with Diabetes Mellitus and their families.
We offer two trainings every year to accommodate the dynamic schedule of our health professionals. Please click HERE to see our latest schedule.
- Everyday (Mon-Fri) for two weeks every summer (April or May)
- Every Fridays and Saturdays for five weeks (September to October)
